Anonymous asked: Pretty sure you've always wanted to see me naked.. Well.. I'm feeling pretty adventurous today so go to datelink5[dot]com (switch [dot] with .) then sign up and find my profile under the username 'lolsummer69'. I hid my face in the pictures. but I want you to guess who I am and then hit me up on Facebook lol. Good luck.
I don’t like you, Anon. I don’t like the way that you don’t like yourself. Because you know what I see when I look at you? I see myself at your age.
I’m going to help you, Anon. I’m gonna suck you right up into my womb, and I’m gonna spit you back out, a little red hot titanium baby with diamond teeth. But before I recreate you, I must destroy you.
Thanks saintroux for finding another item on our hit list! I seemed to have overlooked the little anchors on Blaine’s buttons, silly me. This coat is no longer available in Blaine’s navy (my cap doesn’t really show that, darn Photoshop), but it is still in black. And, it buttons in both directions, which explains why Blaine has his coat buttoned like a lady (how dapper).
The first time I saw Darren in Katy Perry’s new music video ‘Last Friday Night (TGIF)’, I thought of 3 things:
1. Darren, you sexy man, you.
2. You’re character’s name is Aaron Christopherson?
3. WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU WEARING?!
I became determined to make his bad 80’s outfit more wearable and since it’s nearing summer, I decided to do a beach look as well.
Beach:
For the beach look, I chose a floral printed bandeau bikini (bandeaukini?). The print and colour scheme is very similar to that ridiculous shirt Darren wears in the video. Next, I chose a very simple shirt/dress to use as a cover-up. Finally, instead of those horrible looking tennis shoes, I chose a pair of trendier sandals.
Street:
Since the temperature has been rising, I decided to update Darren’s jacket-and-jeans look to fit the season. Once again, I chose a top with a similar print to Darren’s shirt. I added a pair of cuffed shorts instead of cuffed jeans. To replace Darren’s jacket, I decided to add a variety of vests. Some are more loose like the top two. Both of those vests/shawls are flowly or lace-y. The other two vests have more structure to them; one being a suede vest and the other being crochet. Like the beach look, I scrapped sneakers for sandals instead.
Now you’re ready to dance on table tops and hit the boulevard, although I wouldn’t recommend going streaking in the park or participating in a ménage à trois.
First off, I’d like to apologize for my long absence. I’ve been very preoccupied, but now that I’m done with school I can attempt to update this blog regularly again!
This outfit is all about the madras! It’s more common name is, of course, plaid, but you can still see the term madras used in magazines and novels. A favourite of mine that uses this term is ‘The Outsiders’ by SE Hinton. To be fair, the novel was published in the sixties.
The key to wearing a fun and very outgoing piece like a madras jacket is to keep the rest of the outfit simple. Like Darren in the photo, I chose a pair of simple khakis (who said they couldn’t be stylish?) so the jacket would take center stage!
Accessory wise, I chose to stay on par with Darren and chose some vintage-style glasses.
Whenever I look at this photo, I’m reminded of Clark Kent!
